  • Trip to Hawaii - Day 10

Not much to write about on this Friday. My wife and I went for a walk without the children at Kahala Mall.  Boys went to Bishop Museum with their cousins.  No swimming today....it rained cats and dogs most of the morning.  All of us are getting well-acclimated with the weather and time change here.  Too bad, considering we'll be back in the states in few days.

One thing I noticed about Honolulu drivers: most do not use the turn signals when they switch lanes.  In fact, I contend that only the tourists/visitors do.  Do not believe me?  Next time you visit here, keep your eyes open to see if anyone signals.

I mentioned yesterday that I saw X-Men 3 at a $1 cinema last night. Some observations: Restaurant Row 9 Theatre keeps the a/c EXTREMELY high.  I mean...brrrrrrr...it was so cold!  Another observation: on the way to the cinema we have to walk through several clubs and bars.  So many people on Thursday night (apparently the young folks of Hawaii do not work or go to school).  And they look so YOUNG! I'm sure most of them are barely 21 (if that).  They looked like babies.  I guess I'm showing my age, since anyone south of 30 still looks young to me.  I was thinking last night...most of these kids weren't even born when I was in college.  Of course, what am I saying? I have 4 kids, for crying out loud....man, I feel old today.
