  • Love Renton! A KAC Outreach Project, from August 22 to 23, 2009.

Yes I know ... We're all posting stuff on Facebook now. No one, aside from a very few people, blogs in the traditional sense anymore. Putting status on FB or Twitter gets the message out to your friends much quicker.

But... what if you want to spread a word out to people outside your circle of friends? Due to most people's privacy settings, your FB/Twitter posts cannot be searched via Google or other search engines. So, when someone sees a person this week donning a spiffy t-shirts (designed by Samantha Chang from www.sachadesigns.com) that says "Love Renton" as shown here:
I hope he or she would google it and find this blog, or hopefully any other bloggers who attend KAC Baptist Church in Skyway/Renton area who chooses to use their dusty old blogger/xanga sites to promote our outreach event this weekend!

    There will be:
    • Free Garage Sale
    • Kids activities (free lunch)
    • Adapt a Road
    • Nursing Home Visitations
    • Door to door plant giveaway
all in and around KAC in Skyway, Washington. We hope to see as many people as possible from our community and take advantage of what we have to offer over this weekend. Maybe even leading to visit KAC on Sunday? :)

Please contact me or call KAC at 206-772-4371 for more information.

  • Google Chrome

Part of my job as a web developer is to test out my designs to as many browsers and OS platforms as possible. Time to add one more browser in the long list of browsers that include Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari ... Google Chrome (!). Yes... Google. Installation was quite painless, and so far it seems to run my sites without any difficulties. You can download it from:

    http://www.google.com/chrome

While it seems to work fairly fast, xanga didn't work nearly as well as I hoped.  During this entry, Chrome barfed out. Facebook worked ok. So, I guess it's a working progress.  Still, you may want to check it out.
